Interview of Sally

Q. Sally, please be completely candid. Why were you so critical of wedding videographers?

A. I had been to a wedding once where a friend of the bride videotaped the ceremony. He was everywhere. The guests were distracted. Worse, the priest was irritated. The video guy ruined the ceremony. It only got worse at the reception. He brought bright lights. He pointed microphones at our faces and pressed us for interviews. It was an unpleasant situation I did not wish repeated at my wedding.

Q. What convinced you Welsh Video would be different?

A. My priest. Seriously. I told him I was talking to Welsh Video about the possibility of taping my wedding. I asked him what he thought. He said he had officiated several weddings that Welsh Video had taped. he appreciated the fact that you were respectful of the ceremony and honored his requests.

Q. What was your final experience with your wedding day and with Welsh Video?

A. They were professional, courteous and practically invisible. My video is beautiful. How they managed to get such clarity with so little lighting is beyond me. I have watched my video at least two dozen times. Interestingly, I have only looked at my wedding photographs a few times. My video goes far beyond what photographs are capable of.

Q. Did you get your wedding on a DVD?

A. Yes, absolutely. It is not just that the quality is incredible. It is so easy to go to the exact spot on the DVD I like to watch the most. The people I worked with were warm and friendly. I loved having them at my wedding.

Letter from Rosemarie

Our wedding video is so memorable and fantastic. We were so anxious to receive it and it exceeded all of our expectation, we are really happy!

We also really enjoyed working with Welsh Video; they were very professional. We never felt that their presence was in our way, a complaint I have heard about other videographers, and they captured such great moments. I just wish I would have them longer. They caught things the photographer never came close to.

The actual wedding footage - editing, music, montage - was done so professional and very personal to us that Matt started to cry when we first watched it. Everyone who has seen it has said the same thing, one of my mom's friends has already taken their card for her daughter's wedding.

Welsh Video was recommended to us by our good friends Rebecca and Trent who showed us their video when we said we didn't want a videographer.

I am now happy to recommend them myself!

Letter from Julie

I honestly don't remember my wedding day. Amazing, isn't it? I have the ability to remember a phone number after dialing it once. I can rattle off 100 phone numbers in an instant. My wedding day, though, is one big blank. I do remember my feelings. I was happy, so wonderfully happy. But the detail is gone.

The saving grace is my wedding video. There it is on my T.V. screen all over again! My video allows me to hold onto more than just my feelings. I can recover the detail, the essence of my wedding day. It's not really a video, it's more like a movie I can pop into my DVD player whenever I want.

Every bride in America should have their wedding videotaped by Welsh Video Productions. If she wants to truly remember what the day was really like.

Comments from Katie

The video was great! We were hesitant to get a video and are thrilled with the results. I would absolutely recommend Welsh Video. I already have recommended them to neighbor and will continue to do so in the future..

Everything was great! Welsh Video was professional and courteous, fun to work with and they delivered a video that far exceeds anything we ever expected. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

The editing was amazing! They made some seemingly boring or uninteresting moments really exciting through the magic of editing! We especially loved all the details that were captured ( i.e. all of the pictures of us at my parents' house and the wink Dad gave James as he shook his hand during the ceremony). Everything was great!

Letter from Celeste

Dear bride-to-be, I was in your shoes last year. Engaged. Overwhelmed trying to plan a wedding. A thousand details to juggle. Another thousand decisions to be made.

Let me cut to the bottom line about the video decision. Should you have it videotaped? Yes. If you don't you will regret it. Forever. That's a fact.

Should you have it taped by a professional or your uncle? A professional. If you don't you'll regret it. Forever. That's not only a promise, it's a guarantee.

How do I know all this? Because I had the best wedding video in the world. My girlfriends are envious. They cut corners on their video, and now they regret it. Every one of them. It's too late for them to do the right thing. But not for you.

A beautiful, professional wedding video is the ONLY way to truly bring your wedding back to life. My wedding photographs are pretty cool, too. But they can't capture the sound motion and Dad's reaction to walking his girl up the aisle. And thank goodness I have a video of the way Stephen looked at me as Dad presented me to him. maybe now you can understand why I've watched it over two dozen times!

Don't cut corners on something that will bring you such happiness. for a lifetime. I know because I have been in your shoes.

Father of the bride - Michael

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the out standing job done on the wedding video of my daughter last year. We recently received the DVD and VHS tape of the wedding as a gift from them and have relived and enjoyed that day over and over.

When Rebecca and Lucas first planned their wedding, they told us that they did not want a videographer. Considering how important that day was for them, my wife and I kept encouraging them to consider it. They did not want a traditional or "cheesy" type video and were determined to have something different that would "capture" the day. When they searched out and found Welsh Video, it was because they liked how unique your perspective was and that your videos were not typical or run of the mill.

It was a great decision. the creative way you captured the details at our home prior to the ceremony and all the various techniques used throughout the day to produce this great memory for us is beyond me. Thanks again.

Letter from Sandra

Tony's uncle offered to videotape our wedding for free. It seemed like a good idea at the time. What a bride isn't on a tight budget? It was a huge mistake! Any bride reading this: "DON'T LET A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TAPE YOUR WEDDING! It created the most awful mess for us.

First he did a crummy job. The lighting was terrible. You couldn't hear the vows very well. It was choppy. But it was at the reception where he did real damage. Most of the shots were of Tony's friends and family. You would've thought my side of the family wasn't there. My parents are irritated. We showed it to them once. Never again. if you want a lousy video that creates hard feelings, just use a friend.

Note from Kathy

Yes, I had my wedding photographed. And I had a wedding movie created for me too. My Welsh wedding video goes far beyond what my photographs could ever do. When I have children, they will actually feel as if they are in the front row of the church at my wedding! they will feel like they are out on the dance floor with their Mom and Dad! Sharing that video with my kids some day will surely be the second happiest day of my life!

Heather's note

I am extremely happy :) with my video and I am addicted to watching it. I would definitely would recommend Welsh Video. We are so happy with your work! It is so great to "relive" the day!

Thank you so much - you've preserved our most special day to the highest quality output - we are so, so pleased with how it turned out and the link to see it online & pass it on is so ingenious!!
